التقى د. عبداللطيف بن راشد الزياني، وزير الخارجية، اليوم، مع دوغ بورغوم، وزير الداخلية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الصديقة، وذلك بمناسبة زيارته إلى مملكة البحرين للمشاركة في الدورة الحادية والعشرين لمنتدى حوار المنامة 2025.
وتم خلال اللقاء بحث علاقات الصداقة التاريخية والشراكة الاستراتيجية التي تربط بين مملكة البحرين والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وما تشهده من تعاون وثيق في مختلف المجالات في إطار الاتفاقيات المبرمة بين البلدين، بما في ذلك اتفاقية التكامل الأمني والازدهار الشامل.
كما تم تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن القضايا الإقليمية الراهنة والتحديات الأمنية في المنطقة، وسبل تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق المشترك بما يسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار والازدهار الإقليمي.
حضر اللقاء، السفير سعيد عبدالخالق رئيس قطاع التنسيق والمتابعة، وعلي خالد العريفي رئيس مركز المدار، والسيد سلمان حسن الجلاهمة رئيس قطاع شؤون الأمريكيتين.
